Great Cabin

Great place for enjoying the lake.
Reviewed on 2024-09-10 by Mark F. , Vacaville, CA United StatesWe had a great experience at the rental. Met our needs. Although, there were some light bulbs that were not working and needed replacement. Close to alot of activities: bike riding, beaches, Emerald Bay, etc.

Reviewed on 2023-07-31 by Susan p. , El Dorado Hills,, CA United StatesGreat location. The cabin was clean and decorated quite nice. It was easy to check in even let us check in early as we requested. Quite neighborhood with a coffee shop within walking / biking distance. I beleive there was a tavern there as well. We would love to rent again.

Location was fine.
There are problems with driving the roads around the lake, major road repair, long waits at flaging stations. So don't be in a hurry to get anywhere.

Cozy and Clean - A few amenities missing
Reviewed on 2023-03-10 by LeAndra A. , N/A, CO United StatesHad some nice perks like a really good blender and plenty of towels. House is managed by a property management firm. They are response but only during regular business hours and more by email rather than phone or Airbnb app.
A few cons:
-No wood, matches, kindling, or newspapers were provided
-No ice melt provided (bucket was empty)
-No non-stick plans and very few pans/pots overall
-Driveway was partially plowed but we had to shovel a lot ourselves and our neighbor kindly cleared some power lines that were under snow
-No dishwasher (even though listing references one) or standard coffee maker.
-Bring your own staples like oil, sugar, coffee, etc.
-Without the heat up and fire in wood stove, house is pretty cold because the windows are not double paned and are aluminum.
-Check-in was on the later side (4pm) and Checkout on the earlier side (10am)
House is very clean and super comfortable. I had the king bed and it was incredibly comfortable.

Had some nice perks like a really good blender and plenty of towels. Great property!
Reviewed on 2022-11-02 by Shannon M. , Chicago, IL United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at the Bear's Den! The home was clean, cozy, and well-decorated. Check in/out was a breeze. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (heads up, the coffee maker is a French press so plan accordingly). The bed was soooo comfortable and I slept like an angel. The neighborhood is quaint and super close to the lake and all the best hiking. The restaurant around the corner (Dog and the Bear) is awesome and we walked here for dinner twice during our stay. We are already planning our return to this property!
Wonderful except for the false lock
Reviewed on 2022-10-19 by Danielle C. , Ventura, CA United StatesThis rental property was exactly as pictured and very clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including extra cozy blankets and storage Tupperware for leftovers. It is in a great location with plenty to do in Tahoma itself and just 20-40 minute drive to north or south shore if desired. You’ll need to bring your own firewood if you’d like to utilize the fireplace. If you’re planning to dispose of trash frequently, be aware that the outside garbage has a false lock. The street backs up to the national forest and there were bear crossing signs in the neighborhood which made us a bit apprehensive. The garbage is located on the driveway just a stones throw away from the front gate and directly across from our parked car. We were very impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of the property management group. We felt we could communicate any needs and were met with timely responses.

Charming Cabin, bigger than it looks.
Reviewed on 2022-05-21 by Denise B. , San Francisco, CA United StatesCharming cabin. Very clean. Only used the primary bedroom. The king bed was very comfy. Our stay was in the Spring so the outdoor furniture wasn’t out yet. The fenced in front and back yards are surprisingly large and have both sun and shade. Kitchen could use a few more place settings, serving bowls, pots and pans, but wasn’t a problem for one couple. We’d stay again.
